Penguins hand Admirals third-straight loss

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Admirals dropped their third game in a row, losing to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins 2-1 Friday night at Scope.

Rookie Josh Archibald of the Penguins scored his first AHL goal in his second game as a professional.

Chuck Kobasew’s goal 43 seconds into the second period proved to be the difference in a game that the Admirals failed to score on a 5 on 3 power play in the first period.

Emerson Etem netted his 17th goal of the season in the loss.

The Admirals are still clinging to the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
