Penguins top Admirals 2-1, complete weekend sweep

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) — The Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins completed a weekend sweep over the Norfolk Admirals Saturday night at Scope, skating away with a 2-1 win.

The Admirals fell behind 2-0 in the third and cut the Penguins lead to one goal when Devante Smith-Pelly netted his team-leading 27th goal of the season.

The loss was the Admirals fourth in a row. They now embark on a six-game road trip before returning home April 16th against the Hershey Bears.

The Admirals currently lead the Bears by a single point for the 8th and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
