Tides pitcher torched by Braves in debut

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) – It’s only one game for the Baltimore Orioles’ new pitching prospect, but it can only go up from here.

Suk-Min Yoon, whom the Orioles signed as a free-agent from South Korea, gave up 9 runs on 11 hits, and registered no strikeouts in a 10-5 Norfolk Tides loss to the visiting Gwinnett Braves on Tuesday night. Yoon gave up two runs in the first inning, two in the second, and five in the third inning to take the loss.

The Tides (1-4) weren’t able to get much offense going until the seventh and eighth inning. The same two teams square off again on Thursday.
